Avert fate style gun movement

The Question speaks for itself, I would like to know how to write or where to get a script that will recreate the gun movement from avert fate. I have already looked here, and it didn't work for me. Also, I tried to use the smooth follow script, but it wouldn't work properly. Any help would be appreciated!!! :)
